Bronislaw was a machinist by trade, working for many years at Bridgeport Machines, Century Brass in New Milford, and Becton Dickinson in Canaan. Bronislaw and Doreen also owned and operated the Half a Sixpence Luncheonette in Lime Rock. As a semi-retiree, Bronislaw worked at Noble Horizons in Salisbury. Bronislaw and Doreen emigrated to the United States, married in Bridgeport, CT, on October 12, 1957, and were honored to earn their citizenship. A passionate defender of freedom, Bronislaw left home and joined the Polish army at age sixteen. He fought valiantly with allied forces, and was wounded during the Battle of Monte Cassino, Italy, one of the most important battles of World War II.

Dennis had a big heart and a love of people, rugby, St. Patty’s day, hunting, fishing, the outdoors and most of all his two sons Neon and Caleb. He always had a joke or story to tell, or an old adage to quote. Fred was born at home, in Chillicothe, Ohio, on September 11,1942, to Lillian I. Crain and Fred E, Steele, the sixth of eleven children. He was an outgoing little boy and never met a stranger.
Betsy became an active and loving member of the Falls Village community, working on the Board of Education, Recreation Commission, and performing as the long-time live-auction host at the David M. Hunt Library. She also contributed her theater talents as the acting coach at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Betsy founded and operated for about a year the Falls Village Marshmallow Company, which was a testament to her love of marshmallows. Falls Village became one of Betsy’s greatest comforts, especially in the last three years, after she was diagnosed with cancer.
Peter Boyle, TV and movie character actor, was briefly and incorrectly declared deceased in October 1990, a few weeks following a massive stroke where he was almost paralyzed and could not move or speak for nearly six months. His incorrect lifespan of 1933–1990 is listed in the book Cult Movie Stars by author Danny Peary. Boyle made a complete recovery from the blood clot in his brain and continued acting despite multiple and persistent health problems, including high blood pressure.
Edna Marian Manter was born April 10, 1926, the youngest of six children to the late George Edward Manter and Edna Collamer Manter. She spent her childhood in Buffalo, NY where she attended public schools and graduated from William Smith College in Geneva, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree. Marian pursued a career in microbiology with the pharmaceutical industry until becoming a fulltime mother and homemaker. She married her college sweetheart, the late Ralph Schwaikert, with whom she had three sons. With the leadership and entrepreneurial talent of Ralph, the family renovated the Pocketknife Square buildings in Lakeville and located several family businesses there including a gift shop and restaurant.
Linda Susan “Bear” Barr, 72, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center East, Columbus following a brief illness. She was born March 3, 1950 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Glenn A. Surviving are her brothers, Larry Barr, Cincinnati and Steven Barr, Chillicothe; 2 nieces; a nephew; 4 great-nieces and a great nephew; and a host of cousins. Pastor James L. Steele, 68, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday November 13, 2022 OSU East Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on May 27, 1954 in Columbus, OH to James W.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Lynch ; grandchildren, Timothy Peters , Tiffany Peters , Michael Giordano, Skye Long , and Keely Haller; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Brumbaugh, who passed away in August 2022. Marcia is survived by her children, Lesley Pierce, Tracy Murdoch, Teal Doggett and Lee Brumbaugh; and her grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Zoey, Oliver, Isaac, Felix, Colten, Westen and Chase. Letha went platinum at a young age and went to school to become a hairdresser. Through hairdressing competitions, Letha eventually became a member of the National Hairdressers Association, a local hairdressing instructor and competed in styling competitions across the U.S. Letha loved her friends Cecelia, Joy, Lois, Jennie, Dennis, Connie, Alan and her Nordstrom's Beauty Salon Staff.
Being blessed with a beautiful soprano voice she used it as a teenager in the Cedarville Methodist Church choir and sang with The Triads, Melody Maids & Pottstown Band. She kept her voice in shape singing with the choir into her 90s. She passed on her great gift of music to her naturally talented son Daryl who she taught & encouraged and was deliriously rewarded when he became her "star".
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Martin, and his sister Patricia. In addition to a loving father and grandfather, he was an amazing uncle to many nieces and nephews. RUTH LUNAN – We sadly share news that our dear mom Ruth Lunan passed away at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 after a brief stay due to a fall at home.
